A Big Boost for Bury Market

The Levelling Up Fund

Bury Market is getting £20 million from the Levelling Up Fund to ensure it remains a favourite destination for people to spend their time and money at.

This will create a brand-new flexi-hall with a new café-bar, offices and space for start-ups, that will host food fairs, community and cultural events, and live performances. It will also pay for a new canopy that will protect the market for years to come. This project will form a key part of Bury Council’s plans to regenerate the wider town centre area.

All this means places for local people to meet, work and relax, attracting new visitors and new business to Bury – creating jobs and opportunities in the community.
