New Opportunities Have Landed across Scotland – Cumbernauld Town Vision

The UK Government is investing £9.2 million to establish Cumbernauld as a 21st century new town, bringing education, employment and homes into the heart of North Lanarkshire’s largest town.

Levelling Up Fund (LUF) support will enable North Lanarkshire Council to acquire two failing, adjoining shopping centres for redevelopment into a mixed-use Town Hub along with an adjacent office block. LUF support will catalyse wider regeneration of the town centre, unlocking investment and helping to realise Cumbernauld’s potential.

The Town Hub will provide office space for businesses to flourish in the redeveloped town centre.
