New routes to success – Town Deals

Town Deals are part of the UK Government’s strategy for Levelling Up the economy by providing funds to 101 towns across the UK to drive economic regeneration.

Town Deals across the East Midlands will bring a range of transport improvements, including road improvements, redevelopment of train stations and new walking and cycle paths.

As well as improvements at Boston Railway Station and improved access to the train station in Corby, the work in Newark includes a partnership with Brompton Cycles, installing docking stations across the town and supporting the ambition to become a ‘Twenty Minute Cycle Town’.  And in Skegness, a full renovation of the town’s main station will see improvements to the internal concourse and taxi rank area, new community facilities and commercial units for start-ups.
