Wakefield
Powering up Wakefield
The Levelling Up Fund
£20 million from the Levelling Up Fund will make Wakefield the go-to place for the creative industries, leisure and culture in Yorkshire.
£12 million will renovate the former BHS building in the city centre and transform it into a new library and museum. A further £8 million will support the waterfront regeneration of Tileyard North, turning historic industrial buildings into a new home for creative businesses, next to the iconic Hepworth Gallery.
A thriving Wakefield means thriving businesses, so if you’re a small business owner, employer or entrepreneur you can get involved in Levelling Up in Wakefield.
